I’m an interdisciplinary technologist and independent researcher from Surkhet, in Nepal’s Karnali Province, working at the intersection of technology, public policy, environmental sustainability and data-driven decision-making.
My research develops machine-learning and statistical methods for climate, hydrological and hydrometeorological systems — with a particular interest in learning from the sparse, heterogeneous and nonstationary observations typical of data-constrained mountain regions.
Alongside research, I work across the nonprofit and international development sector — designing programmes that empower young people, strengthen communities and promote evidence-based decision-making.
Meaningful innovation happens when technology is combined with evidence, thoughtful policy, and a deep understanding of local contexts.
