NASA Artemis GLEE — LunaSat Team 3072
Mentoring a Nepali student team through the Great Lunar Expedition for Everyone — microcontrollers, solar power and multi-sensor payloads for the Moon.
Overview
The Great Lunar Expedition for Everyone (GLEE), run by the CU Boulder Colorado Space Grant Consortium as part of NASA Artemis, puts student-built sensor payloads (LunaSats) on the Moon. I mentored Team 3072 at American Corner Surkhet.
What we did
- Worked through an 11-module technical curriculum: Arduino microcontrollers, solar power systems and multi-sensor integration (thermopile, accelerometer, magnetometer, capacitive sensors)
- Ran RF telemetry simulations, wireless data-transmission tests and mission-design activities
- Coordinated international logistics and customs clearance to bring the NASA-funded LunaSat payloads to Nepal
